KING'S KIDS CHRISTIAN CHILD CARE

Manlius, NY 13104

Marge Edwards - Director

King's Kids Christian Child Care program provides loving, Christian child care and latch key service to children, grades Kindergarten through sixth who attend the Fayetteville-Manlius Central Schools.  King's Kids is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. The child care service provides a safe, reliable and nurturing environment for children who would otherwise be left at home, unsupervised while their parents are at work.

King's Kids has been in business at the First Baptist Church of Manlius since 1985.  We are an independent, non profit, Christian organization owned by the members of First Baptist Church.   King's Kids is licensed and regulated by New York State and is a member of the Onondaga County Child Care Council, the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce and the Manlius Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to offering child care and supervision before and after school, we also offer morning and afternoon Kindergarten classes to supplement or replace public school Kindergarten programs   The day care service is available on school scheduled "teacher conference" days, non federal school holidays, and most school declared "emergency snow days". The child care service is also available during the school summer vacation period for grades K through 6, from 7:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.

If you have any questions about King's Kids, our programs or our staff, please give us a call at 315-682-5034 and talk with one of the Directors. Or if more convenient, call after 6:00 P.M., leave a message on the answering machine and we'll call you back.  We will even mail you a copy of our Parent Handbook if you leave your address. And, of course please feel comfortable in visiting King's Kids at any time.

King's Kids has six separate programs.  Any child may be enrolled in any one or more programs, space permitting.

The Before School Latch Key Program opens at 7:00 AM each morning.  This program accommodates those parents who must be at work before their child's scheduled school day starts. The parent can drop their child off at King's Kids where our staff will greet you and care for them. When the child's school bus arrives at King's Kids for pickup, your child will be safely escorted to the waiting bus.  Fayetteville-Manlius transportation is provided to the three elementary schools (Enders Road, Mott Road, Fayetteville Elementary), and the two middle schools (Wellwood and Eagle Hill) and Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic School.  The busses are scheduled to arrive between 7:45 A.M. and 8:30 A.M.. However, if there is a delay with the arrival of the bus, our staff will be there to care for your child until the bus arrives.

The After School Latch Key Program is open until 6:00 P.M. every day.  Parents who are unable to be home from work when their children get home from school can have their children bused to King's Kids directly from the elementary schools, middle schools or Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic school. Should the schools be dismissed unexpectedly or a scheduled early dismissal, your children will be transported by the district bus to the safety and supervision of King's Kids.

The Morning Kindergarten Program is open at 8:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. The King's Kids program may be used to supplement or replace the public school kindergarten program.   Children enrolled in the Fayetteville-Manlius school district afternoon kindergarten class will be picked up by the district school busses between 12:15 P.M. and 12:30 P.M. and transported to your child's elementary school.

The Afternoon Kindergarten Program is open at 11:30 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. The King's Kids program may be used to supplement or replace the public school kindergarten program.   Children enrolled in the Fayetteville-Manlius school district morning kindergarten class will be picked up at home or at King's Kids by the district school bus and transported to your child's elementary school. When your child is dismissed from morning Kindergarten class, the district school bus will transport to King's Kids where they are personally met at the bus by our staff. (Usually arriving at King's Kids between 11:40 A.M. and 12:00 P.M.)

The Full Day Program is open from 7:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. during scheduled school vacations, school holidays and school emergency snow days.

The Summer Program is open from 7:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. during the school summer vacation period.  Children may attend any number of days during the week and any number of weeks during the school summer vacation.

The dedicated and professional staff at King's Kids is headed by the directors, Kay Walrath and Marge Edwards. Kay and Marge have over nineteen years of combined experience at King's Kids and much more experience in the day care field.

King's Kids is located on the lower floor of the educational wing of the First Baptist Church in Manlius.  We have full use of the Church gymnasium as well as the outside playground facilities.   There are all the fun recreational things that kids learn on and enjoy. Climbing structures, sand boxes, swings, slides, basketball and much more. King's Kids is within a short walking distance from the Swan Pond and Mill Run Park in the Village of Manlius.
